The Mind of Golf is the product of a collaboration of two psychoanalysts, Dr. B and Dr. F, who love and suffer the game of golf. It is not an instructional site, although it has more than a little to say about the foibles of instruction. It is not an attempt to psycho- analyze the game or the gamers, although the stories it tells of the golf experience are inevitably tinged by an analytic perspective. It is a love song and, like all love songs, it is full of the exquisite suffering and occasional raptures so familiar to those who walk the fairways with great aspirations and still greater fantasy lives.
